Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hoveringham team in the position of junior (Trainee) Estimator.

The purpose of the role is to produce designs/quotations for our range of flooring units and related products.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

DESIGNS
Production of accurate and cost effective Jetfloor, beam & block, hollowcore & stair designs using our "in house" design packages.

QUOTATIONS

Timely and accurate production of quotations in line with customers' requirements for Jetfloor, beam & block, hollowcore & stair products

TECHNICAL

To prepare scheme proposals back to the customer to provide design value engineering

COST MANAGEMENT

To understand & work to set pricing parameters

INFORMATION

To have the ability to handle variety of drawing formats for quotation production

LIAISON

Have a strong telephone manner in order to contact & discuss external parties when establishing quotation requirements to resolve quotation & technical queries. To also liaise with internal Contracts/ Production/Drawing teams to agree customerrequirements & any nonstandard details.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Contribute to improvements in business processes and procedures.

About you;

Ability to read & interpret construction drawings correctly
Working experience of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent organisational skills with strong time management
Good team player
Good verbal and written communication skills
Confident and outgoing personality
GCSE's in Maths and English
