Description

We're looking for a Development Architect to join our IT team. You will co-ordinate, manage and advance the architecture and technical aspects of the company's internally developed systems.

This role can be
remotewith the need to travel to our Milton Keynes or Leighton Buzzard offices twice a month.

IT Solutions & Development comprises of the following key areas:

Application Development
Online Development
Data Development
Business Solutions

Key Responsibilities:

Design and oversee designs for systems integration for internally developed systems
Keep uptodate regarding best practices in software development and deployment
Ownership of best practice coding across Developers
Contribute to improve the overall development processes and methodologies followed by development teams
Contribute to and help decide on future systems development platforms / key architecture decisions
Contribute to upskilling the team through guidance and training

Experience & skills:

Essential:

Excellent skills in SQL Server
Experience and understanding in high performing architectures in an enterprise environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Team working mentality
Experience feeding data to internal and external sources
Knowledge of architecture design tools

Desirable:

An understanding and / or experience of working in Cloud technologies such as Azure
Knowledge of event based / Microservice architecture
WPF

Willingness to own issues and chase them through to completion, communicating effectively and in a timely manner, throughout
Helpful, courteous and experienced in dealing with user issues and frustrations with in a highpressure environment
Good team communication, with experiences in sharing and presenting new ideas and approaches with the team
