    Description

    Morito in Hackney Road is offering a full-time role for an experienced General Manager.

    We are looking for a responsible individual with a hardworking, positive attitude that thrives off managing busy shifts. They must be capable of overseeing the FOH team and have scrupulous attention to detail and margins, as well as have a strong passion for food and wine and excellent customer service.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Has at least 5 years of working experience in F&B environment and 2-3 years hands on experience as a General Manager.
    • Must be a team leader and team player, confident in managing people.
    • Must be knowledgeable and passionate about food, wine and the restaurant industry and be able to transfer their enthusiasm on to the team.
    • Is a leader with a high attention to detail, assisting in ensuring quality, consistency and high standards.
    • Has the HR skills and experience necessary to effectively train and manage teams.
    • Ensuring the company is H&S compliant.
    • Driving the business: work within budgets, maximise the reservations and focus on costs.
    • Must be eligible to work in the UK

    Salary:

    Between £45,000 - £55,000 per year, depending on experience

    Moro and Morito chef proprietors Sam & Sam Clark opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.

    Morito draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.

    Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean – primarily mainland Spain and Portugal – with a couple of lesser-known wines from the Canary Islands.

    There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink and orange wines, with many available by the glass.

    The restaurant has been designed in collaboration with artist Dillwyn Smith and features a horseshoe-shaped marble-topped bar, polished concrete floor, bright shots of colour, an inviting open kitchen and large windows allowing for a light and airy space.
