Sales Development Executive required for my client, a global leading company who manufacture and supply materials for a range of biotech and life science markets.

The key purpose of this role is to support new business generation activities. The role will include the identification, screening, and nurturing of potential opportunities.

As the first line of communication with prospects, you will have a strong understandingof the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting sales process up for success.


Responsibilities of the Sales Development Executive:

  • Providing lead triaging, and lead generation, support to the Business Development Managers.

Including, but not limited to:

  • Researching and qualifying new leads from various online resources
  • Identifying new sales opportunities from existing customer database
  • Setting up NDAs to initiate detailed discussions on customer needs
  • Proactively seek feedback from prospects regarding progression to next step in sales process.
  • Assist in the development of the customer portfolio together with the Business Development Managers.
  • Ensure regular followup as required with the customers, provide answers to all commercial and technical requests presale.
  • Support the marketing department in the implementation of the marketing strategy.
  • Record all customer contact accurately within the CRM system.
  • Maintaining and improving the database of prospects and contacts in the CRM.
  • Ensure a response is provided to all customer enquiries in a professional manner and within an agreed timescale.
  • Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitors.

Skills and Qualifications of the Sales Devlopment Executive:

  • Significant experience (3-5 years) of conducting B2B customer interactions within life science sales.
Experience with CRM systems data management.

  • Experience with owning the endtoend sales cycle and channel sales.
  • Track record of effective CRM implementation and leverage to drive effective growth focussed processes and behaviours.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.

  • A personable team player with strong commercial skills and numeracy.
  • Excellent communication skills; builds friendly rapport with customers and business partners.
  • Confident telephone manner, able to gain the trust of potential and existing customers.
