The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their Aseptic Services Pharmacy Department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

The position available is for a Band 2/3 Aseptic Services Pharmacy Assistant within the Oncology Pharmacy Team.


Key Responsibilities:


Delivery Management:
Assist in managing the delivery of products across trust sites, ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained.


Aseptic Unit Maintenance:

Perform extensive cleaning of the aseptic unit on a sessional, daily, and weekly basis to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.


Stock Control:
Manage stock control of consumables and drugs used for the aseptic process.


Qualifications and Requirements:

No prior experience is necessary as specialist training of 6-12 months will be provided.

Work towards an approved qualification relevant to the job role, such as Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills.

Hold the required qualifications and grades in Maths and English as specified in the job description.


Additional Information:

The work involves tight schedules and deadlines, requiring good manual dexterity and accuracy.

The Aseptic Department is an enclosed environment with no patient contact.

Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the Aseptic facility and Isolators.


Support the daily stock level checks of drugs and consumables within the aseptic department and using a picking list generated via the JAC pharmacy system replenish stock of drugs and consumables as required.

Assist in the receipt and correct storage for dose banded products and outsourced patient specific SACT's

Assist with the dispensing of dose banded product


Support the streamlined delivery service of SACT's to clinics and /or wards ensuring appropriate storage conditions are maintained and relevant paperwork / delivery tracking systems is completed.
