Role purpose

  • The Reporting & Governance Officer will assist the Director of Financial Crime & Money Laundering Reporting Officer in delivering our assurance, controls design, controls testing and improvement programme;
  • This will include maintaining project plans, analysing delivery Risks & Issues, training & competency frameworks and document libraries;
Department

  • The Reporting & Governance Officer role sits within the Economic Crime team, which is part of the second line of defence. The team is responsible for developing Financial Crime policies and the control framework for the business, challenging activities and reports from the first line and monitoring and reporting on risks and metrics to the relevant committees, ensuring that the first line continues to operate within the risk appetite and tolerances that have been set.
Key accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Maintain the 2nd Line Economic Crime project plan(s) for , identifying risks and issues to delivery;
  • Working with Department leads to create project schedules, and identify risks to delivery;
  • Creating and then maintaining controls design, assurance and testing schedules, tracking progress and engaging with stakeholders to provide updates;
  • Developing Communication plans for Policy, Regulatory and procedure updates;
  • Creating and Maintaining the resource, training & competency plans needed to deliver the Economic Crime plan;
  • Experience in documenting controls and internal processes, using end to end process flows, swim lanes and use cases;
  • Support the completion of key enterprise processes including policy management, risk appetite metrics, control effectiveness and risk framework developments

Requirements:


  • Experience in endtoend project management / programme office
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Highly organised, able to deliver reliably to deadlines
  • Calm and resilient under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to take initiative and deal with ambiguity
  • Pragmatic and good at working collaboratively with others

It would be great if you also have:

  • Knowledge of agile methodology and principles / Project Management certification
  • Experience in Business analysis / process mapping
  • Experience working in the Financial Services sector, however experience in an Economic Crime environment is not essential.
