About the role

Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a
Commercial Administrator to join our
Asset & Technology Solutions team based at the Operator Skills Hub in
Sutton Coldfield.


The Operator Skills Hub (OSH) provides innovative training programmes to inspire young people and upskill current plant operators in the UK.

By partnering with education and infrastructure providers, we aim to attract and recruit the best talent and upskill existing employees to work on a modern day, digitally-enabled construction site.


What you'll be doing
As a Commercial Administrator you will have the following accountabilities:

  • You will support members of the commercial team in the undertaking of commercial administrative duties such as Time sheet administration, Record management and other commercially related administration tasks.
Analytical Thinking & Decision Making

  • Understanding of basic ordering of information and data checks
  • Raising of POs and Invoices based on skills hubs requirements
Cost Engineering

  • Gather data & carry out assessment of the cost to deliver individual activities
  • Assist in preparation of monthly accounts and annual forecasts
Planning

  • Record attendees, courses, learning materials, plant etc and help prepare and maintain records
  • Management of internal record keeping, including time sheet management
Cost Management

Use the company's ERP System

  • Assist the Timekeeper with the uploading of timesheets/ hours onto Oracle R12 & Replicon software. Ensuring allocation sheets are submitted and received by all the JV blue collars on time to issue accurate cost allocations and adjustments.
Procurement

  • Collect information required to specify procurement requirements
  • Record and document information including registration of interest
  • Understand the steps / documentation required
  • Assist in the forecast of material procurement
