    The Role:

    Our RTA non-delegated authority team are looking for an experienced RTA handler to join their team in the Horwich, Bolton.

    Your caseload would be around 70 litigated cases and would be a mixture of small and fast track in value.

    We offer a hybrid-working model so you would only be required to attend the office 1 day per week.

    The role is a full time opportunity work 35 hours per week but we would also be open to discussing part time opportunities minimum 28 hours.

    This is a great opportunity for an RTA file handler working in a delegated team on either small or fast track cases whom is looking to progress and gain more client contact.

    The cases in our NDA team are more complex as they deal with indemnity and counterclaims.


    Duties of the Role:
    Complete all procedural elements in order to successfully run and maintain a caseload of 50/50 split small & fast track cases
    Carry out instructions on behalf of key insurer clients, from issue of proceedings through to Trial
    Build lasting relationships with key clients by drafting reports confirming strategy and agreeing the most suitable approach with the client
    Be commercially aware of the overall spend on a claim, whether fixed fee or hourly rate.


    Recruitment Criteria:
    Up-to-date experience of handling your own small or fast track RTA litigated caseload
    Drafting of legal documents, including defences, applications, witness statements, Part 35 Questions, Part 18 Questions
    Liaising with and drafting instructions to Counsel
    Experience of managing fixed fees whilst delivering quality
    Good telephone negotiation skills
    Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
    Good IT skills including Word, Outlook, and experience of a Case Management System with a preference for working paperless

    • Identify key facts/issues and make early investigations and decisions to bring a case to a conclusion
