    Bede's is seeking to appoint two well-qualified and enthusiastic Teachers of Art for September 2024. We are particularly interested in candidates who aspire to teach a range of the courses that we offer; this includes GCSE Art, GCSE Ceramics, GCSE Photography, A Level Ceramics, A Level Graphic Communication, A Level Photography and A Level Fine Art. A particular focus on high quality drawing, painting and the ability to teach life drawing would be beneficial.

    As our new teacher, you will be determined to inspire young people, and to help inculcate a love of the Creative Arts amongst your pupils. You will have the talent to help every pupil to their best possible results at GCSE and A Level. You will be able to enjoy working with gifted creatives who aspire to study at the very highest level as much as you enjoy working with those who find the subject particularly taxing.

    You will be eager to be a part of a successful faculty, teaching exciting and innovative lessons, and contributing outside the classroom as well. The ideal candidate would be a talented practising artist trained to degree level. They will have a genuine passion for art and a wider understanding of Art and Design along with a natural ability to work with young people.

    The faculty is under the aegis of Head of Creative Arts, Mr Jonathan Turner. We teach the Edexcel GCSE and A Level Art and Design syllabus. It is a high achieving yet warm and supportive environment for somebody to thrive.

    We also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers who will enjoy a generous level of remission on their timetable, above the level offered in other schools. They will also benefit from the expert professional mentorship of Ms Yvette Stainsby, our dedicated Head of Teacher Development.     Bede's is looking to make two appointments for September 2024, one will be a Permanent Position and the second will be to cover maternity leave, this will be up to one year on a fixed term contract.
