**Temporary Works Design Engineer ? Job Description

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our client?s technical team and progress in the department throughout the company?s ongoing expansion.

They are looking for an experienced designer with experience in CAD designfor construction, civils and infrastructure projects, overseeing designs from concept to completion, finding sustainable solutions while pushing the boundaries of design.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the project teamas a technical lead, finding design solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Additional job description and duties:

Coordinate with other disciplines, either internally or externally depending on the project.
Attend team meetings with both internal and external disciplines.
Provide support to the company in terms of relevant knowledge and experience.
Prepare alternative designs for company construction tenders or research any construction methods that may provide commercial advantage for tenders.
Provide forensic engineering support to the company to establish efficient solutions to any defects that may arise on any construction project.
Provide buildability support and due diligence reports on design solutions carried out by external consultants.

The Person:

Qualifications/accreditations:

BSc, BEng or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered or looking to go through the process of gaining membership of relevant professional body, usually ICE, IStructE, etc
