Post No. SH012- Housing Delivery Officer

This role sites within the Housing Strategy and Enabling Team.

The team have responsibility for assessing housing need in Newport and for leading work programmes and initiatives to increase the provision of affordable housing within the city.

The team have just been through a restructure, so this is an exciting time to join as we shape our service and identify innovative new approaches to delivering our goals.

To assist in delivering a campaign to bring privately owned long term and problematic empty properties back into use in order to meet housing need in Newport, in support of Newport City Council's Empty Homes Strategy.
To provide an administrative and analysis function for the housing strategy and enabling service, including performance reporting, financial monitoring, completion of IProc and Oracle orders.
To be responsible for the update of relevant housing media and literature.
To provide support for the preparation and production of strategic housing documents including collecting, collating, managing and analysis of statistical information.
