Our longstanding client, a highly reputable Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants in Manchester who are looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their expanding Business Services team.

This excellent opportunity would suit an individual who is ACCA or ACA qualified or part qualified, from an experienced practice background looking for career progression, lots of flexibility and a good work/ life balance.

The successful applicant will be working with a diverse client base and be responsible for the preparation of year end statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, management accounts, mentoring junior staff, attending client meetings and dealing with any queries.

Our client is offering an excellent remuneration and benefits package, flexible/ hybrid working, company bonus scheme, study support (iif required), health insurance and time off in lieu.

Part time will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
Corporate tax computations
Management accounts preparation
Review of VAT Returns & bookkeeping
Training clients on accountancy software
Liaising with HMRC
Attending client meetings
Dealing with client queries
Assisting Junior staff

Requirements:

ACA / ACCA Part Qualified/ Qualified
Practice experience is essential
Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage or Xero (ideally)
Strong written and verbal skills
