WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? Aberdeenshire / Scotland or nearby areaTELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? In this exciting and varied role you will help to set animal welfare standards and improve livestock production across the UK.

You will visit RSPCA Assured farms, and any new applicants to the scheme to assess the production systems and help farmers to meet RSPCA welfare standards.

This is a role that is suited to someone who has a keen attention to detail and is comfortable in a practical outdoor farm environment.

You will arrange and plan your own workload to fit with your farmers, with occasional team activities and scheme promotional events.

WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED?You should share the animal welfare values and ethics of the RSPCA Assured schemeThe ability to work independently and on your own initiative, organising your work-routine, with strong organising and recording skillsA keen attention to detail, with first-rate communication skills at all levelsAn agricultural qualification (NVQ level 3 or higher)Two years at least of practical experience of laying hen or similar production systems particularly in commercial farming operationsGCSE English and Math or similar qualificationsAn availability to travel extensively within your region with a current full driving licence.
