Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Our client is looking for a well-established Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their forever expanding team.

Purpose of the Manufacturing Process Engineer:

The primary objectives of this role are to improve the process of producing high quality products efficiently plan, design, set up, modify, optimise, and monitor manufacturing processes.

Your work will involve improving the process of manufacturing high-qualitygoods efficiently using the most cost-effective methods and with the aim of reducing the impact of production on the environment.

Utilise efficiency methodologies such as 5S, Lean and CIP to optimise yield and efficiency whilst minimising WIP and stock levels.

Responsible for devising and specifying new systems, equipment, and processes for the introduction of new products and the improvement of existing ones.


Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improving manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Identify and respond to issues that impede output, compromise quality and lower efficiency.
  • Support assurance of product and process quality by establishing monitoring and testing of finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and reporting process information and trends.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair activities and following up on preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Train and guide manufacturing staff to enable them to become stakeholders in change programs and ensure adherence to required methods and processes.

Requirements of the Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • A vocationally trained engineer holding an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Entry Level Lean Manufacturing, CIP & 5S
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Happy owning tasks and seeing them through to completion
  • Competent in gathering and handling data to support change
