PE Global are recruiting an Electrical Technician for our multinational mining and construction client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12 month contract.


Responsibilities of the role:

Understanding and applying electrical schematic drawings and pinoutsThe ability to assemble and mechanically build test boxes to a schematic drawing, requiring good mechanical hand skills and ensuring quality in the result eg: Drilling, tapping, using suitable hand toolsThe assembly of (non-production environment) cabling/harnesses to a schematic drawing and pinout.

The ability to create technical sketches from the needs of the engineersThe ability to define the electronic/electrical/mechanical components required for the projectIdentifying, fault finding and resolve equipment issues using hand held electrical measurement tools eg:

multimeter and oscilloscopeExperience/Qualifications required:

Strong, proven practical equipment assembly capabilitiesA good technical qualification such as a relevant HNC or equivalentExperience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, control systems or automotive engineering IndustriesPrevious Technical experience of Electronic/Electrical products or related Production systemsPrevious experience of building Electronic/Electrical equipment and harnessesInterested candidates should submit an updated CV.
