My high-profile banking client is currently recruiting for a business analyst to work on an initial 6- month contract.

They're looking for someone who understands different financial products and have worked on different tools such as tablo, insight etc.

Thisrole sits within the Sales & Trading Lab within the Markets Platform in the organisation.

The S&T Lab is responsible for delivery of change across systems that support our LBCM Flow Sales and Trading Teams, RFB Traded Products Teams and Sales Teams within Global Transaction Banking to increase flow, improve pricing, keep colleagues and our clientssafe through regulatory compliance, always working to stay ahead of the game as well as deepening our relationships with business partners.

The Role Itself

The role will sit within the Insights Team working to implement and fine-tune a market-leading data insights system, being deployed across multiple asset classes, so it brings maximum value to our customers and business partners.

Opportunities will arise to collaborate and assist multiple teams across the Sales & Trading Lab, whether that be using your skills to assist other S&T Lab deliveries or developing and sharing knowledge within the Business Analysis Chapter.

Role specific criteria;

You'll support the Team Product Owner (PO) and Project Manager (PM) to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view.
Able to influence key partners at a senior manager level to build positive relationships.
Support user acceptance testing related activities.
Propose improvement opportunities and develop solutions to ensure that the Group's investments meet the needs of its colleagues, customers and partners.

What are we looking for from you?

Awareness of different financial product types, voice and electronic booking flows, especially Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange
Experience of working with large data sets, understanding the detail and transformation and visualization techniques
Ability to solve complex problems in a pragmatic way
Organizational awareness, building and improving strong partner relationships.
Excellent communication, people management, influencing and presentation skills in a clear, concise manner
Evidence of working within an Agile environment.
A "can do" approach demonstrating a positive demeanor with a will and passion for delivering excellence.

Skills and experience that may give you an advantage:

Prior experience of implementing vendor products that offer insights into large data sets of financial trading data
Previous experience of data science techniques, machine learning, Python, SQL
