Salary:
£27,859 FTE. £13,929.50 exact per annum plus market weighting, to be agreed based on skills and experience.


Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2024

18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year


As our
Skills Coach - Adult Social Care, **you are required to maintain their understanding of apprenticeships and work within the funding criteria.


The post holder will be expected to train, review, assess, monitor and track learners working in the relevant vocational field according to a defined and clear delivery model.


The
Skills Coach - Adult Social Care will deliver learning, training, coaching and assessment to meet the needs of employers and learners and to the standards set by awarding bodies or end point assessment organisations.

This role will also be required to undertake Internal Verification duties.

Responsibilities of our
Skills Coach - Adult Social Care:

  • To work alongside the business development team in supporting the growth of the provision.
  • To ensure that all records are compliant and in line with the apprenticeship funding rules.
  • To use the college IT systems as directed and promote the use of digital skills with colleagues and apprentices.
  • To adhere to apprenticeship processes which contribute to the overall achievement rates of the college.
  • To provide an inclusive learning environment and programme, embedding enrichment activities throughout their curriculum planning.
  • Provide a curriculum in partnership with an employer where applicable.
  • Provide appropriate information, careers advice and guidance on workbased programmes to learners, employers, agencies and prospective learners.
  • Maintain the highest standards when representing the college with employers leading to repeat 'business'.
  • Contribute to regional and crossregional promotional events and local college open events as required.
  • Deliver learning, training, coaching and assessment to meet the needs of employers and learners and to the standards set by awarding bodies or end point assessment organisations.
  • Review and monitor learner progress against the contract, standard, ensuring completion and achievement of all elements including Functional Skills to ensure the standard is achieved or end point assessment is taken and passed timely.
  • To provide individualise programmes to meet the needs of employers to ensure learners develop new skills, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Embed Functional Skills into delivery to ensure all learners are stretched and challenged appropriately and develop English and Maths skills.
  • Ensure apprentices make timely progress against FS targets.
  • Participate as a full member of the programme team and contribute to the development, promotion, review and delivery of programmes including standardisation meetings and selfassessment.
  • Cross market Hull College provision to employers/employees in relation to workplace learning and full cost recovery.
