    Candidates need to register for either the morning or afternoon registration


    Morning registration:
    9:00 AM -10:00 AM

    The post-holder will be based 3 days a week in Houghton Regis supporting the Home treatment team.


    For the remaining days, the successful candidates will be expected to support Inpatient Mental Health Clinical services, working closely with Inpatient Clinical Lead Pharmacist/Lead Pharmacist to develop clinical pharmacy services within Bedford and Luton Inpatient services.


    • The post holder will have the opportunity to train or practice as anon-medical prescriberor undertake theAdvanced Clinica l Practioner (ACP) course
    • Monday to Friday. Saturday 1 in 12 weeks (8-12 remote). We are an expanding trust, which means there is lots of opportunity for experience and growth. We cover Adult inpatients, CAMHS, Perinatal Services, Crisis and Home Treatment teams, Community Mental Health and you will have the opportunity to link in with our pharmacy teams in Community Health Services and Primary Care.

    Coaching/management experience

    If not held, successful candidate will be guided and supported on journey to be accredited as a Non Medical Prescriber.


    Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy (equivalent)
    Pre-registration training
    Post registration training relevant to hospital pharmacy (substantial experience in a Mental Health setting)
    Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council and/or Royal Pharmaceutical Society

    oPost Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy/Psychiatric Therapeutics (or equivalent)
    oPost Graduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy/Psychiatric Therapeutics (or equivalent or willing to work towards this)
    oProven experience of good performance in previous posts, where relevant
    oEducation and Training of other staff.
    oStaff management experience

    oWorking in a community setting
    oProviding teaching sessions to pharmacy and other staff
    oAble to work both alone and as part of a team.
    oAble to be flexible
    oSound knowledge of drug management of Mental Health disorders including national guidance
    oEvidence in writing procedures, clinical guidelines and policy/protocols.
    oCommunicates with medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in clear precise and appropriate manner.
    oTo have an awareness of national and local priorities
    oThe ability to identify and manage risks
