    Senior Library Technician for Circulation, Bolton Public Library (Bolton)

    Bolton Public Library is seeking a personable, energetic person to work at its circulation desks (main and Children's). The person selected for this position will assist with general circulation duties. These duties include but are not limited to circulation of materials, interlibrary loan and holds, and basic information services to library users of all ages; operating a variety of office machines including PCs; building security; and seeking continuing education opportunities when appropriate. This position requires frequent contact with the public, including interpretation of library network and local policies.

    This is a permanent, part-time position of up to 18 hours per week. Work schedule includes Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and evening until closing at 8 p.m. and Friday 10-5. This position is also part of the Saturday rotation, working 9:30 a.m. until closing (2 p.m.) approximately once per month. Flexibility in scheduling is essential. Position is not eligible for benefits.

    Qualifications

    Strongly preferred: library experience, familiarity with CWMARS/Evergreen software and Libby (Overdrive app). Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years' experience working in a library, Required: demonstrated understanding of an automated (PC-based) work environment, excellent written and oral communication skills; acceptable CORI results.

    Salary Notes

    Step increase annually on anniversary date, plus COLA when available.
