    Hayley Group Limited has an exciting opportunity for an ESG Sustainability Assistant to join our well-established and experienced SHEQ team based at our Halesowen branch.

    You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

    As our ESG Sustainability Assistant , you will primarily support our net zero and environment targets, and ESG reporting.

    As part of the team, you will report to the Group SHEQ Advisor but also work under your own autonomy, be accountable for delivery of your projects, and have opportunities to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

    The role will assist with the creation, set up and maintenance of various environmental policies to support the entirety of Hayley Group's operations and you will be a main point of contact in relation to all queries regarding environmental and sustainability projects.

    The ESG Sustainability Assistant will help to ensure Hayley Group is taking all reasonable steps to reduce its carbon footprint and minimise its environmental impact.

    Working hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
    Key responsibilities as our ESG Sustainability Assistant will include:

    Responsible for assisting with developing and driving an ambitious coordinated strategy to Net Zero.
    Follow the setting of carbon reduction targets and data analysis.
    Assist with the formalisation of our sustainability strategy to embed across the business.
    Adapt good practices to develop and assist with the sustainability strategy through assessments, research, and prioritisation of initiatives.

    Act as a champion by engaging with the wider business, supplier, and customer base to promote sustainability with the assistance of our Marketing team.

    Assist with the setting of achievable goals to align with relevant benchmarks with the aim to achieve a clear pathway to reach Net Zero.

    Essential Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our ESG

    Sustainability Assistant:

    A good understanding of sustainability and ESG, ideally with knowledge of ESG measurement and reporting, assurance and of carbon accounting in particular.

    A strategic and analytical mindset, who can look at things holistically and 'join the dots' while maintaining high quality standards in the details.

    The ability to distil qualitative and quantitative information on leading practices, new approaches and competitor performance.
    Experience driving sustainability, ESG, Net Zero and/or carbon-neutral programmes in businesses.
    From 23 days annual leave (plus public/bank holidays), increased with length of service.
