    Work Based Assessor - Automotive (Lv/Hgv)

    The Department of Automotive Studies is currently looking for a SVQ assessor within the Automotive section, to assess candidates against National Occupational Standards for a range of SVQ's including Light and Heavy Vehicle repair.

    The post may also encompass IMI accreditation schemes such as Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA).

    Qualified to HNC (SCQF Level 7), SVQ 3 or equivalent level of qualification, in an appropriate field, you will support, assess, and verify candidates undertaking SVQs.

    Industrial experience in Automotive Light and Heavy Vehicle Repair and knowledge of the relevant National Occupational Standards systems is essential for this post, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.

    You will also liaise with employers to ensure candidates gain experience and meet awarding body requirements, including discussing employer needs for recruitment of apprentices.

    A full driving licence is essential.
