    Morgan Philips is delighted exclusively representing a rapidly growing engineering business to hire their first UK HR Director. Reporting to the CEO and part of the UK executive team, this is a highly autonomous role, vital to the ongoing development of the group, reporting directly to the CEO.

    The role has functional responsibility for the Human Resources and Payroll team and leads the people aspects of the business. This role will work alongside the CEO and other Directors in the creation and delivery of the long-term business strategy.

    Key accountabilities will include:

    Responsibility for the creation and delivery of a robust people plan.

    Establish a class leading approach to both recruitment and retention.

    Key point of contact for group HR matters, including but not limited to required reporting and involvement in key projects.

    Establish a robust method of responding to regular employee surveys.

    Implementation of key HR related projects, these includes but are not limited to; new HRIS system, new payroll system, ATS system, L&D platform

    Lead on acquisitions and TUPE activity.

    Regular review of C&B to ensure the business is able to recruit and retain the right calibre of people.

    Lead the ongoing process of the management development programme.

    Create a continuous improvement approach to people related processes, working with the wider business on the digitalisation journey.

    Working with the wider team to help the creation and delivery of financial budgets.

    We are looking for:

    A qualified and experienced HR leader who is highly involved and visible at all levels.

    Someone who has led an HR function for an engineering business or similar - supporting a predominantly field based workforce is a must.

    An organised and structured leader who has the ability to develop those around them.

    An abundance of drive & gravitas, with an inclusive yet strong management style.

    Ability to have a meaningful input to company strategy and direction.

    Ability to understand different company (within the group) strategies and areas of focus.

    Ability to meet challenging deadlines, across multiple projects.

    Ability to manage competing demands.

    Excellent Interpersonal skills.

    Good communication skills both written and verbal.

    Enthusiastic and flexible approach.

    High level of confidentiality and accuracy.

    On offer is a competitive base salary + 30% bonus + car allowance.
