Dovetail Recruitment are working with a support company in the education industry who are able to offer development and support with further qualifications.
They also have a great handle on work/life balance with 25 days holiday and a 37 hour week on offer.
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be part of a long standing finance team and will be joining a company with a very low turn over of staff due to their stability and excellent environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coding of invoices and matching to purchase orders
- Checking coding of invoices for correct nominal code and dept code
- Registering and scanning of invoices to finance system
- Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Producing weekly payment runs for both business entities
- Posting payments onto the finance system
- Producing month end creditors listing
- Adhere to monthly deadlines to close Purchase Ledger
- General office administration, e.g. filing and photocopying
- Dealing with callers to the department both in person and by telephone
Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience with purchase ledger and reconciliation of supplier statements
- Excellent communication skills
- Accuracy with attention to detail
- Good computer literacy
Salary & Benefits:
- £20 - 21,388 per annum
- 37 hours per week Monday Friday
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing after 5 years of service to 30 days
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme is available
- Support with AAT qualifications
