    Description

    Working as a key member of the Trust's therapy team, comprising Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, and support workers, our Occupational Therapist/s lead in delivering occupational therapy assessment and interventions with our residents, who have diverse and complex needs. This is a professional role practicing within the guidance and legal framework of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations, fundamental standards of quality and safety and HCPC and RCOT standards.

    Key Results

    • Get to know the residents and help them to set and achieve personal goals, through promoting independence, meaningful activity, optimising movement, helping to reduce the risk of falls and optimising posture.
    • Take an active role in the development of the Therapy Service.
    • Manage a caseload which spans permanent care home residents, short stays and the retirement community.
    • Manage a diverse workload involving supervising assistants, assessing and treating residents/clients, administrative duties, developing CPD, service development and communicating with members of the multidisciplinary team.
    • Communicate readily and effectively with colleagues, residents, their families, and other individuals from outside the organisation, including at clinical meetings.

    Hours: 21 hours per week.

    pay: £21.91 per hour
