Responsibilities:


  • Building positive relationships with students and promoting positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teaching staff to identify and support students with challenging behaviour
  • Providing 1:1 mentoring and coaching to students to help them manage their behaviour and develop coping strategies
  • Developing and implementing behaviour management plans for individual students and groups
  • Liaising with external agencies and professionals, such as social services or CAMHS, where necessary
  • Recording and monitoring behaviour incidents, and providing regular feedback to senior management

Requirements:


  • Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour, ideally in a college or secondary school setting
  • Understanding of behavioural interventions and strategies, and ability to tailor them to individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external professionals
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to use own initiative
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development, including safeguarding and behaviour management
