Group Health & Safety Manager to £60,000 + Profit Share
My client is a manufacturing business based in Glasgow. They are an established business with an enviable track record and are exceptionally successful in their field with a strong financial footing within a secure and consistent market place.
The business is high-growth and ambitions now are to continue to grow sales into new markets, this is already being achieved and over the next few years should see their business being a leader in their field outwith the UK.
The Group Health & Safety Manager reports to the Human Resources Director who sits on the main board of the business and is a member of the Compliance and Human Resource Team. This is a stand-alone role with responsibility for all Health & Safety activities across the organisation including the engagement and motivation of the established and highly collaborative Health & Safety Committee.
In this role you will be able to apply your health and safety expertise to embed a behavioural safety culture within the business.The operational teams are highly engaged and health and safety is already established within the business and they have been externally recognised for their impressive health and safety record.
The journey to embedding behavioural safety has begun and this role will be accountable and responsible for taking this to the next level within the organisation as well as ensuring that all health and safety bases are covered. This would include providing best practice advice, monitoring health and safety, ensuring compliance with EHS legislation, and managing stakeholders across the organisation.
