Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and committed professional to join our Education Partnerships team.
As a Childcare Sufficiency Officer, you will have a key role in assessing and reporting on childcare sufficiency across the borough. You will support sufficiency and sustainability by working with a wide range of stakeholders. This will include promoting childcare entitlements and wraparound opportunities and supporting providers. You will lead and co-ordinate development activity and work with the Education Partnerships team to develop choice and diversity in the childcare market for parents and carers ensuring there is good quality inclusive childcare available for all families in Darlington. The successful candidate is likely to have a thorough understanding of the latest developments within the sector, including childcare expansion. A working knowledge of SEND process and practice would be an advantage. They will be able to establish strong working relationships with early years settings, professionals, agencies and families, champion inclusion and promote the best for the youngest children in Darlington.
