The post holder will be a first point of contact for the Office of the Clinical Effectiveness (CE) Management Team and will be required to screen incoming calls from other Health Board staff, members of the public and external departments or agencies, responding in a tactful and courteous manner, prioritising the issues.


When required the post holder will provide secretarial support for the site Clinical Audit and NICE Group monthly meeting and Mortality meetings as determined by the department.


Provide administrative support to the Head of Service, Clinical Effectiveness making administrative arrangements for visits / internal and external audits and reviews as directed by the department.


Provide administrative support to the Clinical Effectiveness Team, incorporating NICE and Mortality to facilitate with the management of the team related processes within the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

1) To provide secretarial and administrative support to Head of Clinical Effectiveness and team (including NICE/Mortality/Audit) within the Office of the Medical Director (OMD).

2) To support the planning and organising of the Clinical Effectiveness/NAG/Audit/ Mortality Team by:
a. Booking video conference facilities, room hire, equipment, travel and accommodation

b. Preparation of papers, agendas and presentations

c. Communication and engagement with colleagues across the Health Board to ensure attendance as required

d. Participate in meetings and effectively take formal minutes/action notes on a regular basis.

e. Organising appointments
