I am working with our expanding global manufacturing client who are recruiting for a strong leader, to supervise their production facility on a days shift.

This will be a very autonomous role, you will be focussed on man-management and implementing new processes to improve performance and efficiency.

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for:

3 team leaders and a small team of operatives across 3 shifts
Overseeing the secondary manufacturing area, ensuring manpower is allocated effectively
Carrying out inductions, training, PDRs, mentorships and appraisals with the team
Promoting EHS awareness and ensure the team follow Health and Safety procedures
Manage all team related HR issues such as holiday planning, absence, any disciplinary or performance improvement situations
Assist with technical issues
Maintain high quality standards across the department and ensure these are being met by the team
Utilise lean manufacturing principles to work on continuous improvement projects
Work closely with production planning, team leaders and other shift supervisors to collaborate effectively
Monitor and introduce measures in productivity

Skills and Experience required:

Strong leadership experience ideally in a technical manufacturing environment
Continuous improvement mindset
Good working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing
Working knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Ideally hold an HNC or above in a relevant Engineering or Business discipline
Ideally have completed a leadership qualification
Strong communicator and highly organised
