Trainee Bodyshop Vehicle Damage Assessor for
Snows Accident and Repair Centre, Southampton.

Your day


The
Bodyshop Vehicle Damage Assessor is responsible for estimating all damaged vehicles and sending accurate information to insurance companies for authority.


This includes:

  • Estimating to cover all repairs and reassessing in order to create the correct time and costs to be authorised by insurers using insurance companies preferred computer systems/ guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with the engineers, insurance companies and customers to ensure all parties are updated and well informed.
  • Carrying out estimating either on site or off site in a timely manner.
  • Ordering the correct parts with parts department to ensure the spares arrive in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the correct repair methods are quoted for in the repair and job cards reflect the information accurately.
  • Documenting and updating each stage of the estimation process correctly (imagery/updating insurance systems/companies/customers) to ensure accuracy of information and to obtain repair authority.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Technical Knowledge gained in Bodyshop Industry.
  • ATA VDA or NVQL3 or equivalent preferred.
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • IT/web and computer literate.
  • Numerate and Articulate.
  • Delivers Excellent Customer Service.
  • Delivers a result and makes things happen.
  • Full driving licence.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (with 30 minutes for lunch)

Working can be flexible.
