Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer (Verification and Validation)

Location: Maidenhead

Salary: £65,000 base, 10% bonus, £5,000 clearance bonus, plus other benefits.

My client, a leading provider of specialised solutions in electronic, mechanical, and software technologies for critical environments, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful verification and validation of complex solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle verification and validation activities for complex solutions within a system engineering framework.
• Develop and maintain Systems V&V artifacts, ensuring progressive assurance of desired outcomes.
• Execute Systems V&V activities according to established procedures for successful internal, qualification, and acceptance events.
• Support environmental qualification activities, both internally and with external test houses, particularly for Ultra Cyber.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to support environmental testing processes at internal and external events.
• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of test equipment.
• Ensure safety aspects are addressed for all V&V events and facilities used by the project.
• Participate in design reviews as a key stakeholder.
• Manage the use of external V&V facilities/test houses and collaborate on qualification and test harness development.
• Maintain technical knowledge and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

• Line management of systems engineers.
• Technical management of systems discipline engineers on projects.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in specific areas.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

• SC security clearance + Willingness to undergo DV as required
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering/V&V with experience in complex solutions.
• Demonstrable experience in INCOSE/ISO 15288 Systems Engineering.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

• INCOSE membership (ASEP/CSEP).
• ISTQB certification.
• Experience in test automation, scripting languages, and Agile methodologies.
