Our clients, a well-established and successful Property Consultancy business, are looking to recruit an Associate Building Surveyor to join their teamAs an Associate Building Surveyor, your role will involve the following:
- Management of and accountability for the Building Surveying team, supporting the business, team and colleagues to achieve maximum potential
- Lead the Building Surveying teams effectively with adherence to commercial performance to achieve required outputs and targets
- Support the Associate Directors, Directors and Group Directors
- Demonstrate an understanding of Design and Property matters
- Responsible for issue and conflict management, internally and externally with clients and partners
- Deliver business targets outlined in Professional Services/ Areas Business Plans under your responsibility
- Authority for matters associated with professional areas
- Stakeholder management
- Responsible for improvements in productivity; efficiency and connectivity
- Responsible for projects being completed to fee, project budget, quality requirements, outputs and time
- Preparation of professional information associated with the professional area
- Resolution Management
- Contribute to the operation and the development of the QMS, to ensure continuous improvement of qualityassured services to clients
- Responsibility for the financial performance of the Professional Services Team
- Assessing both the environmental and H&S impact and risks connected to design decisions
- Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project
- Monitoring and inspecting work is undertaken by contractors
To be considered for the Associate Building Surveyor role you must have:
- Degree in Building Surveying & MRICS, MCIOB status
- Experience in professional aspects of building surveying competencies including dilapidations and party wall matters
- Knowledge of building regulations with an understanding of planning legislation and health and safety
- Management experience and leadership competencies
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Desire to go the extra mile
- Comprehensive knowledge of design and property matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and in design and property specialist packages
- Strong experience in managing Design and Property projects and teams across multiple client bases, sectors and contracts
- Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Working hours:
As an Associate Building Surveyor, you'll be required to work Monday - Friday.
Our client is offering the successful Associate Building Surveyor:
- £60,000
