    Job Title:
    Project Manager, New Business

    The Project Manager of New Business manages commercial , industrial, builder/developer, rural extension, and renewable energy projects providing an exceptional customer experience and attaining repeat business all while ensuring that the company meets its financial and program enrollment goals.

    The scope of this role includes new business gas distribution and electric tran smission projects .

    Review s and analyze s complex construction d rawings, permits, easements, agreements , and other miscellaneous documents for the design of gas and electric projects.

    Ability to advise customer on both sides of meter : our installation process in front of the meter as well as what the customer can anticipate behind the meter.

    Works to provide efficient and timely completion of gas and electric utility projects through to the installation of the meter interfacing with internal departm ents to provide an exceptional customer experienc e.

    Understands and can communicate to customers, the company tariff , and how it impacts new business.
    Seeks capital authorization for new business investments in compliance with policy .
    Contr acts with customer for service as specified and authorized by policy.

    Manage s multiple electric and gas projects simultaneously at various stages of completion and recognize job site issues .

    Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
    Ability to read/interpret construction prints, understand and apply basic surveying principles.
    Knowledge of project management processes
    Proficient in Microsoft 365
    High degree of organizational and planning skills .
    D emonstrated problem solving, organization, time management, analytical and planning skills.
    Travel may be required .
    Prior New Business project management experience
    P roficiency in NiSource's work management systems and customer relationship management solutions.

    The Senior Project Manager of New Business manages commercial, industrial, builder/developer, rural extension, and renewable energy projects providing an exceptional customer experience and attaining repeat business all while ensuring that the company meets its financial and program enrollment goals.

    The scope of this role includes new business gas distribution and electric transmission projects.

    Reviews and analyzes complex construction drawings, permits, easements, agreements, and other miscellaneous documents for the design of gas and electric projects.

    Ability to advise customer on both sides of meter: our installation process in front of the meter as well as what the customer can anticipate behind the meter.

    Mentors New Business Project Managers to e nsure efficient and timely completion of gas and electric utility projects through to the installation of the meter interfacing with internal departments to provide an exceptional customer experience.

    Works to provide efficient and timely completion of gas and electric utility projects through to the installation of the meter interfacing with internal departments to provide an exceptional customer experience.

    Proven success in managing prior New Business project.
    Proficient in Microsoft 365 and NiSource's work management systems and customer relationship management solutions.
    High degree of organizational and planning skills.
    Demonstrated problem solving, organization, time management, analytical and planning skills.
    Travel may be required .
    Experience managing Large Projects through completion; contract negotiation including minimum use and true up terms.
    Experience representing New Business on external committees and organizations.
