This is an exciting opportunity to join Calderdale's Family Intervention Team as an Early Intervention HEYS (Healthy Early Years Support) key worker.

The successful applicant will work alongside other agencies, to provide structured support to families and their babies for the first year of their lives.

They will work intensively and flexibly with parents to help them understand child development and enable parents to recognise and meet the intellectual, physical, health, emotional and social needs of children.


The HEYS Team support any parents with their first child, either during pregnancy or in the child's first year, who feel they need some extra support.

The benefit of this work is for parents to understand all the things that happen to them during their pregnancy, to support their emotional health and wellbeing, to promote parenting and bonding with their baby and to support parents and baby to be healthy.

We need an enthusiastic/assertive individual who has experience in working with babies and children, and their families.

The HEYS Key Worker will work with families to help them to define their own needs and help them to be involved in shaping the services according to those needs.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
