The main purpose of the role is to give routine guidance on Recruitment policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, Police Regulations and the Online Recruitment Portal in accordance with recruitment strategy to recruit suitably qualified police officers, police staff and Special constables in accordance with the workforce requirements.

You will be expected to provide a high quality customer focussed recruitment service in accordance with the force strategy. This will include recruitment of police officers, special constables (volunteer police officers) and police staff.


Recruitment within the police service is a highly rewarding role as you will truly make a difference to the Warwickshire Police community.

You will be welcomed, supported and trained by your recruitment colleagues and managers, and have opportunity to develop your skills including 360 degree feedback and interviewing skills.


You will have the opportunity to attend recruitment events including force recruitment evenings, national careers exhibitions and armed forces events.


As Recruitment Assistant, you will manage your portfolio of work, getting to know police officer and police staff management teams to ensure we find the right people, with the right skills, to join the Warwickshire Police family.

Recruitment and Selection Policy


Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants.


Police Barred and Advisory lists


Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
