    Description

Theatre Scrub Nurse / ODP Scrub Day Case Surgery

Full Time | Hours | Beacon Hall Hospital

At Ramsay Health Care UK, we know our people are our most important asset. Join our Theatre department as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse and support on our journey of 'people caring for people'. You'll have the best facilities – many of our theatres have laminar airflow systems and state of the art integrated theatre technology.

You'll also have access to the Ramsay Academy, with potential to gain your SFA, and the chance to develop your career across our 30+ network of independent hospitals across the UK. Like us, you have a can do attitude, and you're committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise.

    Where you will be based

    Beacon Park Hospital is located in Stafford and is an extension to Rowley Hall Hospital. Rowley Hall Hospital is located one mile from the centre of Stafford. For those who haven't visited it, it is a beautiful converted and extended listed building and has been operating as a hospital since 1987 However the Hospital is set in a constrained, land locked residential location and having explored a number of workable solutions to expand theatre capacity and address other limitations such as parking and MR/CT access we felt the best was to invest significantly and build a brand new site to work alongside this – Beacon Park Hospital. Both Hospitals are only 3 miles apart (10 mins by car) with Beacon Park Hospital adding the following additional facilities to those which are already in place at Rowley Hall;

  • 1 Laminar flow theatre/ endoscopy room with two recovery bays
  • Ambulatory Unit with 6 Pods, gender specific areas
  • C-Arm X-ray for guided procedures
  • Up to 80 Parking bays
  • Mobile MRI Pad
  • The day surgery facility will provide services for private, insured and NHS patients within the local community and further afield. The new facility will include a theatre and recovery area, six day-patient pods, three outpatient consulting rooms, two pre-assessment rooms and a minor treatment room offering treatment for pain management, urology, endoscopy and ophthalmology (eye care).

    What you'll bring with you

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Surgical scrub experience within minor orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ophthalmic, pain service and endoscopy procedures.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate and empathetic character
  • Benefits

  • 25 Days Leave + Bank Holidays
  • Buy & Sell Flexi Leave Options
  • Private Pension where Ramsay will match up to 5% after a qualifying period
  • Flexible shift patterns available where possible
  • Enhanced Competitive Parental Leave Policies (launched 2023)
  • Private Healthcare for you and dependents includes online GP
  • Life Assurance (Death in Service)
  • Free Training and Development via the Academy
  • Free Parking on site for workers (where possible)
  • Subsidised staff restaurant (where possible)
  • Over 8,000 discounts and special offers via benefits portal
  • Book discounted cinema tickets on the dedicated cinema portal
  • The Blue Light Card Scheme
