We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6, General Surgery Scrub, Team Leader to join the team at North Tyneside General Hospital.


We are looking for an experienced practitioner/Nurse to lead and manage teams trust wide within the scrub team of band 6s.


You must be dynamic, flexible and forward thinking and motivated to drive change and creative ways of working to cover trust wide service needs.

This role will feed into our emergency hospital in Cramlington covering the emergency surgical services.

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates programmes of care for their clinical area.
  • To be responsible for the provision of nursing care and maintain high clinical standards.
  • To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC/HPC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Take responsibility for the management of a clinical area and take charge in the absence of the Theatre Team Manager.
