- To undertake a range of detail design activities in line with customer processes and quality requirements
- Be the Electrical checking gate and ensure that technical requirements are met whilst achieving the requisite Quality standards.
- Supply specialist knowledge and technical guidance / support across the team.
- Carry out checking of Stage 2 modelling and Stage 3 Outputs.
- Complete relevant customer check sheets to the approved Gold Standards.
- Advise on best practice and Continuous Improvement for the department.
- Provide governance of RFT figures relevant to their field of expertise.
- Responsible for providing successful solutions to technical engineering problems and deliver instructions/ guidance for the team members carrying out the tasks.
- Provide clear technical and commercial leadership to the project.
- Produce 3D models and 2D outputs to support operations and other functions.
- Address complex technical engineering tasks without the need for supervision.
- Carry out defined Engineering tasks within set timescales and budget.
- Working within a multi disciplinary team to provide design change.
- Ability to work independently.
- Mentor and Support less experienced members of the team.
- Play a key role in both internal and External reviews ensuring that information is communicated clearly.
- Carry out administrative tasks surrounding design packages.
- Ensure they have a good understanding and use of company and client working practices, methods and procedures.
- History of producing Electrical installations at a design level.
- Knowledge of cable supports/ CMPIC.
- Working knowledge of Foran to produce 2D and 3D deliverables.
- Knowledge of marine design rules.
- Microsoft Office Skills.
- Experience in Cable Containment and Electrical Installation Drawings.
- Stage 2 Modelling experience.
- Stage 3 Outputting experience.
- Checking of Stage 2 Models and Stage 3 Output experience.
- Marine experience required.
- Ship building experience essential.
