Firebrand Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Support Technician Apprentice with Frank H. Dale, a major structural steel fabricator based in Herefordshire, HR6 8EF.

Job Description:

To support our continuing expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice IT Support Technician to join our Leominster based team.

This position would suit someone considering full-time employment combined with the opportunity to achieve further qualifications on a day-release basis.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

Help users troubleshoot day-to-day IT support issues.
Record, prioritise, and report on support incidents.
Provide basic instructional training to staff where necessary.
Fixing computers and issues onsite and in the workshop.
Using initiative to learn and be up to date with the latest technologies.
Perform scheduled maintenance on computer systems to ensure efficient operations.
This position will provide exposure to other areas of IT such as software development, infrastructure and networking.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Training to be provided:

Firebrand's sector leading Level 3 Digital Support Technician (L3DST) Apprenticeship Programme trains apprentices to maximise the effective use of digital office technologies, productivity software and digital communications.

Apprentices help their business and internal users maximise the use of digital technologies, as well as adapt to and exploit changes in technology to meet business objectives, maximise productivity and master digital communications.

Firebrands course is delivered either Online (online live instructor led), or face to face in the classroom environment (your choice).
