We're looking for a talented Fire and Security Engineer to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of the service and maintenance of fire and security equipment.

Please note:
In this position you'll be needed to work some weekends and occasionally cover on-call in unsociable hours. Full details of how this will work will be revealed at interview.

The Role:

The Fire and Security Engineer role is field-based.

Reporting to the Service Manager and covering the West Midlands region, you will be primarily accountable for the installation and service of fire and security equipment.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Experience in installation and service of fire and security systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company
  • Competent in the servicing and installation of fire, access control systems, intruder alarms and CCTV systems
  • Experience with access control systems with key experience in paxton, gallagher, act vanderbilt, grosvenor technology
  • Experience with intruder alarms with key experience in honeywell galaxy and texecom
The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.


Plus, it's vital that you've got experience ofmust have working knowledge and experience of the current fire and security British standards.


In addition, you'll need the following:

  • An ecs or CSCS card is desirable
  • Satisfy vetting to BS7858 and enhanced DBS checks will be required for this role
  • Qualifications in BS5839, BS5266/FIA units preferable
The ideal person for the role will be the following:

  • Must be self-motivated, well presented and have diligent work ethic as working remotely from the office
  • Customer focussed
  • Articulate, with good administration skills

The Package:


  • Basic salary: Up to £36,000 per annum
  • Oncall payments: £1,200 per annum
  • Overtime: Up to £10,000 per annum
