The Sales Representative will be to manage sales activities and accelerate sales to exceed our annual and strategic plans for an assigned customer portfolio within the Savoury category.
This will include managing an existing portfolio of customers, as well as uncovering and developing new business opportunities in line with company objectives and strategy.
Core Responsibilities:
Business growth - Deliver business goals for the customer portfolio within the category through:
- Creating cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer portfolio
- Winning selected target customers within the category
- Executing account plans to grow or maintain Ingredion's sales share at customers
Price and contract management - Implement competitive pricing to ensure maximum value for Ingredion.
- Conclude annual contract negotiations on prices, payment, and delivery terms.
- Pricing reflecting value added.
- Payments in line with agreed terms.
Customer Centricity - Continuously develop and broaden the stakeholder network at customers to drive business development along the customer buying cycle and a positive customer experience across relevant functions and seniority levels.
Relationships with internal Stakeholders - Develop an effective working relationship with relevant internal stakeholders in Technical Service, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to lead and/or support efforts in project development, supply planning, debtor management and other activities.
Continuous development and learning - Fully adopt company standards in foundational selling and use available learning opportunities to stay current with new developments in the functional area and the category.
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Science, or other related discipline
- Solid commercial/sales experience in the food or food ingredient industry
- Understanding of food processes and formulations
- Proven Track-Record in sales and business growth e.g., acquiring new customers
