New Strategy, New Team

Right now, we are looking for a Head of Fundraising Planning, which is a new role to help us strategically plan and prioritise the huge range of fundraising activities.

Working with our senior leadership in fundraising and marketing you'll provide a centralcontrol point to ensure our plans are aligned, ordered and supported to strengthen and protect our developing income streams.

You'll lead an established planning team and compliance role, also recruiting a new case for support team and a new fundraising portfolio development function, that will collectively bring together the essential ingredients to support all our fundraisingactivity.

The Royal British Legion holds a special place in the hearts and minds of generations of people in society.

As the largest military charity in the UK and home of the Poppy Appeal it has provided support to members of the Armed Forces community for over100 years.

Today is no different. The needs of veterans, young and old, serving personal and their families are growing. To support them we must raise awareness and donations, and that is where you could come in.

We have launched a new fundraising strategy and a new team structure to deliver longer term and focused growth, so the charity is now looking for new people to join our brilliant and evolving fundraising team.

A logical and pragmatic individual the new Head of Fundraising Planning will be an organiser at heart, who can clearly use highly developed programme and project management skills to align multiple team demands to meet the strategic need.

Forthright and with an ability to communicate in a highly effective way, this new senior fundraising role will work with senior stakeholders to obtain the right data and messaging.

You'll lead a centre of excellence service in coordination of plans, reporting,inspiring propositions and advances in fundraising today.
You will be at the nerve centre of the new structure and future fundraising strategic delivery.

We are home of the extraordinary Poppy Appeal and you will work alongside a dedicated fundraising team who help to bring to life this nationwide remembrance activity each year, which is the largest, longest and most memorable appeal in society.

Our new fundraising strategy is called 'Three Giants' to focus our income generation work on protecting and strengthening on the three vital areas of the Poppy Appeal, our Individual Giving and Legacy activities.

You'll be joining a reenergised team readyto embark on a new focused direction to serve the thousands of beneficiaries who need our help every single day.
