The Opportunity:
Account Coordinator ICT (Portfolio Lead internally)


At HealthTrust Europe (HTE), we are seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Purchased Services team, where you can make a difference within your role, take pride in your work and be part of a team that is taking the company into a new and exciting era.


As an Account Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of HealthTrust Europe's product and services contract portfolios and communicating the benefits and value of those portfolios to both internal and external audiences.

A key focus is management of specific elements of the contract portfolio which includes dual, multi-source or optional contracts that may require conversion support or categories that are less sensitive to members e.g.

commodities.

Based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, we offer solutions to manage spend effectively and improve performance, working with both public (NHS) and private healthcare providers to optimise the use of products and services to identify cost saving opportunities.


DUTIES (included, but not limited to):

  • Manages, maintains and improves the performance of the contract portfolio, both operationally and financially
  • Constructs and manages simple contract amendments with supplier(s)
  • Addresses product additions, deletions and changes during contract term
  • Understands supplier new product offerings and collaborates with clinical and sourcing leads to assess products
  • Oversees contract implementation with suppliers and the communication of contract implementation to HealthTrust Europe's account management
  • Drives category growth by following through on and closing opportunities and leads derived by suppliers and / or HealthTrust Europe's Sales and Marketing team
  • Develops strategies and tactics to promote the contract portfolio e.g. identifying marketing opportunities and conducting contract launch implementation meetings.
  • Forecast ensuring correct forecast is populated in opportunity for contracts awarded
  • Identifies additional cost saving opportunities or new product category coverage opportunities and elevates opportunities to the relevant department leader
  • Assesses market and supplier dynamics to determine possible sourcing strategies for contract renewals
  • Collaborates with the sourcing lead on strategy development as the contract bid cycle begins.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, which will include (but not limited to), resolving customer issues (pricing, letters of commitment, product complaints, quality issues etc.
  • Assists account management with member needs related to portfolio.
  • Supports the management of supplier relationships
  • Scorecards supplier performance
  • Reports contract compliance issues to their supervisor and the Account Directors
  • Assists the Account Directors with conversations that may be required with members
  • Proactively monitors member contract compliance against the assigned portfolio
  • Reports on contract conversion activity for key initiatives to the VP of Strategic Sourcing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Previous customer / supplier relationship management experience
  • Basic understanding of the sourcing process
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Able to demonstrate consistently good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to align internal and external resources to achieve objectives
  • Understands and interprets complex instructions, proposals, and contract language
  • Listens and separates ancillary information from the primary content being communicated, asks appropriate questions to clarify and confirm understanding
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products, proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
