JOB PURPOSE - Assisting the Finance department to ensure all accounting activities are carried out while making sure that performance targets are met. Assisting in the month-end reporting to the parent company, assisting treasury reports,assisting in budgeting and forecasting and managing all finance-related activities. The role also involves liaising with Auditors and Tax consultants and ensuring the in-house stock and ordering system is accurately maintained


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and undertake banking, credit card and account reconciliations posting all payments to relevant ledgers ensuring any discrepancies are investigated and balance sheet accounts are reconciled
  • Coding of invoices for input into SAP
  • Administration and management of company expense claims including company credit cards
  • Processing overseas and UK payments using online banking facilities
  • Assisting in month end processes including accruals and prepayment bank reconciliations
  • Supporting fiscal yearend processes including external audit
  • Contract negotiation and administration of utilities and telecoms agreements
  • Attending stock takes in both Finished goods and Raw materials warehouses
  • Ensure all Health, Safety and legislative requirements are met and adhered to. Maintain high standard of presentation, housekeeping, and hygiene within your designated area.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Begun an AAT course
  • At least 2 years accounting experience is required, ideally within an accounting department.
  • Be an effective communicator, able to work within both a team structure and as an individual coordinator.
  • Good IT skills as will be working on various software, Proficient in Excel
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach, required to provide service levels to the Luxury market.
