Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Strategic Planning Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in London.

What the job will be doing

Prepare and present Committee reports development proposals including major proposals of strategic importance, complex development issues, area development initiatives, or in areas of policy innovation.
Prepare statements, proofs of evidence for public enquiries and act as professional witness.
Assist in the management, and direction of the group including the coordination of the work of the group, and the setting of priorities.
Deputise for the Area Planning Manager when absent.

What you will need

A relevant professional qualification
Experience within a Development Management service either in a senior or principal role
Have presented to committees and have some experience with reviewing junior officer's work.
