Description
Vermont is a small special school in Southampton for children aged 5-11 who experience social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

All of our young children experience challenging behaviour and may also have many associated conditions and disabilities such as ADHD, Autistic Spectrum disorders and attachment disorders.

Every child has an Education, Health Care Plan.

Vermont is a 'good school' (OFSTED Jan 2018) who are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to work with pupils unable to access mainstream education.

You will be expected to become part of the expanding 'Vermont family' and support students in accessing full time education, raising attainment and building self-esteem so they can achieve their full potential.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role so strong interpersonal skills are required as well as a willingness to support challenging pupils on a daily basis.

Specific training will be given to enable you to carry out this element of the role.
