Monocle is seeking a commissioning editor to work full-time in our London HQ. The ideal candidate will both commission and write dispatches and reports across our monthly magazines, specials and seasonal newspapers.

Candidates must be motivated self-starters with a track record of managing competing deadlines, working across projects while turning out clean copy and clever features.

This means someone who is comfortable securing stories on anything from business and entrepreneurship to hospitality, the arts or urbanism.

This is a position for an experienced editor and journalist who has good contacts and can bring new writers into the magazine.

We're also looking for someone with a passion for how magazines are made and relevant experience in print.

The role includes many opportunities for travel and reporting and to help be part of an ambitious, busy team set to shape Monocle's coverage in 2024 and beyond.
