    This is a brilliant opportunity for a charismatic and friendly Senior Visitor Experience Duty Manager to join the team at the Serpentine Gallery in London for this fixed term, part time contract.

    The Senior Visitor Experience Manager role offers the opportunity to lead, manage and motivate the team to deliver an enriching and welcoming visitor experience. Specifically, you will be leading the Visitor Experience team to:

    • Provide an enriching visitor experience
    • Enhance Serpentine's reputation as a visitor attraction
    • Inform visitors about exhibitions and the Pavilion
    • Encourage donations from visitors
    • Promote Serpentine's events, programme and services
    • Represent and communicate Serpentine's vision
    • Ensure the safety and security of the Gallery buildings
    • Lead, manage, motivate and support team performance
    • Conduct appraisals and one-to-one meetings with the team

    You will also be responsible for Gallery building security, including opening, locking and securing the buildings, on weekends and during events as well as for the Health and Safety of the team and visitors including Fire Marshal responsibilities.

    This role is a fixed term contract with the Serpentine Gallery, requiring 4 days a week with a shift pattern.

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and demonstrates a proactive approach to tasks and challenges, who can deliver an outstanding customer experience. Problem solving is essential to this role, you should demonstrate the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex problems effectively and efficiently.

    You'll have strong skills in analysis, problem solving, verbal and written communication as well as IT skills using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    The ideal candidate should also be an excellent team worker with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, valuing diverse perspectives and contributions.
