This is an exciting opportunity to join the diverse and dynamicSimulation Servicesteam, based in Education and Research Centre, working across all UHBW hospitals and sites.


The centre is part of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust's Education Centre and delivers expert multidisciplinary healthcare training, using a variety of interactive human patient simulators, manikins and actors to provide healthcare staff with the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perfect simple to highly complex clinical and non-clinical skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to provide administrative and technical support to our service.

This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has an excellent approach to customer service and is willing to learn new skills.

This role is being offered as an Apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship on offer is the Simulation Technician apprenticeship, a Level 3 apprenticeship which will take 18-24 months to complete.

Upon completion, the post holder will be offered a permanent Band 2 Simulation Assistant role within our team. More information about the Simulation Technician apprenticeship can be found on the attached document.

The Apprentice Simulation Assistant will develop the skills to be competent to provide the agreed quality standards.

They will develop through education, training and practice of the fundamental skills, knowledge and competencies to perform duties at a competent level in the Simulation Services department.

A background in administration and technical work would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
