Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in South Staffordshire.
Role Purpose
The operational management and quality assurance of the end-to-end delivery of apprenticeships ensuring that robust quality assurance and improvement systems are in place at each stage of the employer and apprentice journey.
Directly responsible for the robust tracking of apprenticeship progress using an e-portfolio system, the post holder will ensure apprenticeship progressis accurately recorded.
Role Duties
- Manage a team of apprenticeship practitioners to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently to caseload and that apprentices are making the progress expected, utilising college reports and online database Smart Assessor
- Develop and plan the apprenticeship curriculum by reviewing EMSI data sets and become familiar with local area plans to ensure the planned curriculum meets both employer needs, but also ensures the achievement of College income targets
- Work across College departments to ensure delivery plans are in place for all apprenticeships in scope; timetables are in place for day release, and that MIS have the required start and completion paperwork for all assigned apprentices
- Work with Employers to ensure communication and a high level of professional service is delivered
- Ensure high quality teaching, learning and assessment across area of responsibility
- Work with team to ensure all targets for the provision both income and achievement are met
- Excellent and effective communication skills are required to successfully drive curriculum planning and employer business cases
- Manage activity between apprentices, employers, IQAs, awarding bodies, exams department and teaching staff
- Provide training and development to apprenticeship practitioners to enable them to fulfil their role
- Chair meetings and conduct regular 1:1s with staff
- To be responsible for keeping accurate and up to date records, ensuring data protection and confidentiality policies are always adhered to
- Ensure that the College's financial regulations are adhered to when purchasing resources including staffing
- Manage bids for resources during capital bid process
- Manage expenditure within Faculty budget limits
- Monitor and manage caseloads of apprenticeship Practitioners
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years management experience of apprentices
- Car and Drivers Licence
- Level 4 qualified in one of the areas of management
- GCSE English and Maths and Grade C (4) or above
- Efficient and effective planning and deployment of resources
- Ability to work in and manage a team
- Clean enhanced DBS record
- Able to travel between sites timely
